Project Management

Agile and Waterfall Methodologies

When developing a product using the Waterfall Methodology, project requirements are discussed with the customer early in the development cycle, before development begins. Therefore, a customer presence is not required once development of the product commences. This is ideal for projects that have high costs associated with changes during development.

Agile Methodologies require a more iterative approach to development. Portions of the project are delivered to the customer in functional parts. This approach requires the customer to be more involved during the development of the product. This is ideal for projects that may have varying requirements as development begins.
